On August 13th 2024, George Rahme, one of the founders and main operator of Cedars Paragliding School, passed away tragically during a rescue mission to save trapped construction workers.

Flying activity at the school and on the school main sites in the Cedars are currently suspended until further notice.

Rest in peace George, and Godspeed on your eternal flight. You will be dearly missed.

- Paragliding is the most accessible aerial sport. The cruising speed of a paraglider is around 35 km/h which makes it very easy to launch and land almost anywhere. It is one of the safest aerial sports as well.
- Paragliding is a safe sport as long as you follow the rules and respect the weather conditions. You have a much bigger chance of getting hurt driving to the paragliding site than flying a paraglider.

- Paragliding in Lebanon started in the early 90s with the boom of paragliding in the world and remains the most thrilling outdoor adventure sport in Lebanon.
- Paragliding is primarily a mountain sport. Paragliding may be practiced on cliffs by the sea or in flat plains, but the best paragliding sites are the high mountain sites.

You can also visit the legendary Cedars forest, the Quadisha grotto, the Quadisha valley with its old monasteries and breathtaking waterfalls, and many other touristic attractions. If you just want to relax, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Youn-Orghosh resort.

- The Cedars area is a 2 hours drive from Beirut and 1 hour drive from Tripoli. You can come to the Cedars on a day trip or spend a couple of days in the area.
